Nearly two years ago, we made the move to Anastasia Island—excited, hopeful, and ready for a fresh start. Like many who come here, we were drawn by the beauty of the place, but what we were really searching for was connection. We wanted to get to know the community, the people, and the stories that make this island so special.

That’s when the idea for the magazine was born. What better way to immerse ourselves in our new home than by creating something that celebrates the community itself?

At first, not everyone understood the vision. As recent arrivals, we were met with questions—How will you pull this off? Do you even know anyone here? There was a healthy dose of skepticism, and to be honest, we understood it.

But then we met our very first cover story: David Shoar. He didn’t just share his story—he welcomed us in. He checked in, introduced us to local business owners, and opened the door to the warmth and hospitality that defines Anastasia Island. Through David, and so many others since, we’ve experienced firsthand the supportive spirit of this community.

Today, we’re proud to be telling the stories of our neighbors—the small business owners, artists, volunteers, and everyday islanders who make this place home. A typical issue will include your personal stories and photos featuring neighbors and friends, event information specific to Anastasia Island, reliable and reputable business sponsor information, and articles. This neighborhood-written magazine creates a more meaningful connection between neighbors, friends, and families within your community.

We take pride in who we recommend and introduce to the community, ensuring that they can provide the types of services—and, more importantly, the quality of service you need and want.
