Community Cleans up the Coastline

Shawnda Ulmer winning the Shibumi Shade prize for largest item of trash collected!
On Saturday, June 15, 2025 More than 60 volunteers—locals and visitors alike—joined forces to clean up St. Augustine Beach, collecting over 100 pounds of trash in just one morning! Families, kids, and even a crew visiting from Atlanta pitched in to help protect our beautiful shoreline.
One standout volunteer hauled in an abandoned tent and earned the top cleanup prize. Shibumi Shade provided a shade lounge and a separate prize for the person who collected the most trash.
Organized by Our Mother’s Stewards and the St. Augustine & St. Johns County Board of REALTORS®, the event brought people of all ages together for a shared purpose and a cleaner coast.
