Jenn and Ryan Chadwick's passion, creativity, and energy were evident in their renovation and opening of The Cedars Public House. Starting in January 2023, they were asked to clean the old Cedars golf course restaurant, which includes a banquet hall, pro shop, three short-term rental units, and a full apartment, in preparation to sell the property. 

As the project progressed, they envisioned new possibilities, including a theater in the basement, a day spa, events in the banquet hall, a gift shop, outdoor music, and a comfortable patio dining area. Family discussions fueled their enthusiasm, even though the owner planned to sell the property upon completion. This led them to th decision to purchase the property themselves.  "I love the fact that the whole family is involved in day-to-day activities. So wholesome!" said Mikailah Grover, ND, of Holisma Healthcare.

Greet Battle Ground, Greet Ridgefield, and Greet Felida held a business networking event at The Cedars Public House, attended by 97 sponsors and local business owners. The event showcased completed improvements and unique food offerings. Three local wineries, Lane Cellars, Emanar Cellars, and Dietrich Cellars, provided wine tastings. Guests admired the beautiful changes to the former Cedars Golf Course clubhouse. "I love how they kept the Cedars feel while also modernizing it," said Jacob Eddings of Car Solve. "The food was great!" added Carol Welch.

Opening on June 8, 2024, the restaurant became the Chadwicks' primary focus. Their previous business offered handyman work, housekeeping, household management, and small business consulting, showcasing their diverse skills. "Our talent isn’t in any one thing, but in understanding the everyman," Jenn Chadwick explained.

Adding culinary expertise, they collaborated with chefs Cory Schreiber and Brandon Marsh to develop menus and systems. The spread at the event was excellent, featuring Jenn's hit creamy salsa on Irish Nachos. A macaroni and cheese bar with optional toppings will soon be added. "Love the dedication and love for the labor that Jenn and Ryan have obviously put into the Cedars," said Steve Dronen of Ridgefield Craft Brewing.
