Liberty Power
An agile family-owned electrical contractor serving local homes and businesses
Daniel Niemi has a good thing going, and he knows it.
Even better? He passes the good on to his electrical customers. What does that mean for the average homeowner in Clark County? Dan and his team of electricians pride themselves on responding quickly to calls, doing quality work and being fair-priced.
With 23 years of electrical experience, Dan started Liberty Power in 2021 to scratch his entrepreneurial itch and build a business that would provide more efficient customer service while making a good living for himself and his employees. Three and a half years later, his experiment is working out—something he attributes to his company’s ability to provide service that earns repeat customers.
“There’s no job too small,” adds Dan. “We’re happy to do anything from changing a plug to wiring an entire school.” That range of tasks also speaks to the diversity of services Liberty Power can perform: residential, commercial and light industrial. Their agility to perform different types of work is matched by their availability—they take service calls 24 hours a day!
Since they are a small company equipped with the tools and knowledge for most electrical jobs, they can change lanes quickly. One day, they might be wiring a house, and the next, a hair salon.
Words of wisdom from an electrician
Dan spends a lot of time educating his customers on how electrical works. He’s happy to fix the problem but also informs you about the ins and outs and dos and don’ts.
As we make our way through the holiday season, he cautions those putting up Christmas lights to be careful with the placement of plugs; be sure they are not directly exposed to too much water, for example, connecting in a gutter (an issue he has seen!). If you suspect the plugs may take on too much water, wrap the connections in electrical tape. If you’re more inclined to hire out light installation, Liberty Power offers that service.
Dan, the man
He and his wife, Holly, live in Yacolt with their six children. In his spare time, he enjoys hunting and fishing with his boys and hopes to pass on the love of those hobbies to them. Being a native of Northern Michigan, he’s fond of ice hockey when he gets a chance to play.
