According to the Cambridge Dictionary, belonging is a noun that describes the feeling of happiness and comfort that arises when we are part of a specific group and have positive relationships with its members. It encompasses the notion of being welcomed and accepted by others. As human beings, our instinctual drive is to seek a sense of belonging, to be an integral part of a group or community. I distinctly recall the emotional pain of not feeling like I belonged to the "school group" when I was a child, and no matter what age we are “belonging” is a fundamental need for all of us. 

 

No matter which groups we are part of or choose to join, we strive to be actively involved and contribute to them. As parents, we encourage our children to engage in activities and groups that ignite their creativity, intellect, and social growth. Our remarkable Bedford community offers countless avenues to encourage and enable that. GREET Bedford has played a vital role in fostering this awareness, shedding light on the diverse range of groups we can become part of and highlighting how we can support our local businesses, entrepreneurs, and people of all ages and walks of life.

 

We can all find our place and feel a sense of belonging within this wonderful community. I am immensely proud to be a member of this group and to be embraced by its members. In my profession as a real estate agent, I strive to extend this sense of belonging to every client I serve. Helping them find and create a new home goes beyond the physical aspect of a “home”; it involves nurturing a deep sense of belonging in their “new” environment. As someone who has come from another country, I have found belonging within the International Women's Group of Bedford, the Greet Bedford Sponsors, the REALTOR® group, and many more great groups here.  I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to all those who have made me feel that I belong and have been a part of creating an environment where we can help everyone to thrive and have a better life through our daily lives and careers.  The REALTRENDS* Report is an annual report that is the only place to find verified Realtor rankings spotlighting the top 1.5% of real estate professionals in each state and it’s such an honor to be included for the fourth consecutive year.
