My name is Lisa Gavin, and I have owned Alapage Boutique for 35 years. I started my store as a women’s accessory store and have grown it over the years to include clothing, premium denim, shoes, jewelry, gifts, and a fun baby section. Technology has brought me the biggest changes and challenges in conducting our sales and daily business and interacting with our customers. However, we have faced and embraced those challenges. Our website and social media now play an integral part in our business plan. We love to connect with our customers, and our customers love to see not only what promotions we may have in the store but also what is new and noteworthy. Because of this, many of our customers love opening our Instagram and Facebook pages and our weekly emails. Many also “pre-shop” our website to know the season’s trends, styles, and new designers when they enter the store.

Of course! We are excited that our Holiday 2024 is bringing back a bit of “sparkle”! Sequins are happening for clothing again, and we love pairing a dressy item with a more casual item for our customers in New Hampshire. For example, a sequined tee shirt with a pair of denim or a sequined skirt with a casual tee or sweater. We also love styling a fun holiday sweater with a long satin skirt. If you have a special party or event, we will still have some beautiful items for that, too, such as sequined dresses, pants, or a sequined tank with a satin skirt or pants.

Yes, bling jewelry sells well for us because you can add sparkle to any outfit without feeling too flashy. Simple earrings or a fun necklace with sparkling cubic zirconias or colored gems can add a bit of seasonal fun to even the most casual outfit. Red is always a bestselling gem color for us this time of year. As for gifts, there has been a resurgence of the 70s disco theme, including some disco ball-inspired gifts. We have also added some sparkling holiday ornaments.

Oh, no worries! We know 'Sparkly' may not be for all our customers, so we will have many other great styles and gift ideas this season. So many pretty colors are happening in fall/winter fashion, and our customers love that we carry classic black and whites and a beautiful array of pastels, gem-toned sweaters, tops, and more. Casual to dressy, cutting-edge to classic, we definitely will have something for you.

For jewelry, our stackable bracelet lines by enewton and Little Words Project continue to be our bestsellers as they have so many diverse styles and colors that you could find something for every female on your list: daughter, babysitter, teacher, mom, friend, and grandmother. Also, our LOLA Jewelry, originally designed on Cape Cod, is a store bestseller with meaningful pendants and chains in silver and gold. We also continue to carry many classic jewelry lines in gold-filled and sterling silver that are great gifts for everyone on your list.

Jellycat, our quirky and fun stuffed animal line from England, is having quite a moment! This line makes us all smile, and we are discovering many of our customers have become “collectors”. We also always have lots of hostesses and stocking stuffer gifts. Holiday napkins and a balsam-scented candle can be a perfect hostess gift. Our sock lines are an easy pick-up stocking stuffer for women AND men! Our socks are really fun, and we are bringing in two new lines this year to add to the mix. Holiday pajamas always sell out; we have many great designs this year. We also have many beautiful and unique candles, travel jewelry cases, frames that can be personalized, herb and plant growing kits, phone straps, cosmetic travel cases, and so much more. We do have something for everyone.

We do carry some gifts that men will love, too. As mentioned above, we have several sock lines with great socks for men that are selling quickly. We also carry unisex-sized items like our New Hampshire “Home” tees, sweatshirts, barware, glasses, and smaller items like key chains.

Our customers love that we carry some holiday cards and gift bags to make it easy to shop one-stop. Also, this is an important reminder to try to shop early.
