Friends of Aine Launches Young Adult Grief Support Groups This Fall

Friends of Aine, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting grieving children and families, is expanding its programming to meet the growing needs of young adults navigating loss. Beginning this fall, the organization will launch a new peer-to-peer grief support group for individuals ages 19 to 26, offering a safe, welcoming space to process grief and find connection.

While Friends of Aine has long served children ages 4 to 18 and their caregivers, staff and volunteers have seen firsthand the unmet need for continued support into early adulthood. This new program is a meaningful step forward in ensuring that no young adult has to grieve alone.

The group will meet Tuesday evenings, from 6:00 to 7:30 PM, beginning September 16, and will run for eight weeks at the Friends of Aine Center, located at 226 Coolidge Avenue in Manchester. Sessions are completely free, but registration is required to ensure an appropriate and supportive group setting.

If you or someone you know is a young adult who could benefit from this program, please reach out to Caryn at caryn@friendsofaine.com or call 603-669-1120 ext. 6006 for more information.

At Friends of Aine, the mission is simple yet profound: To help children and families grieving a death navigate their path to a hopeful future. With the launch of this new program, they’re taking one more step toward a world where no child—or young adult—grieves alone.
