Liberty Hill Construction

My wife, Annie, and I moved to New Hampshire over 20 years ago after graduating from Hobart and William Smith College in Geneva, NY. I grew up in Lake George, NY, and Annie grew up in Darien, CT. We have two daughters, Marley and Kate, who attend Holy Cross College and the University of Denver, a black lab named Bowman, and a new yellow lab named Baxter.

During the first summer I lived in New Hampshire, I accepted a job as a carpenter for a small construction company. We were building custom homes in the Powder Hill area of Bedford. In that role, I quickly fine-tuned my framing and finish carpentry skills and learned the other facets needed to complete large construction projects.

In 1997, I started my own company, Liberty Hill Construction. We are a design-build residential remodeling company that manages the budget, design, planning, and all phases of construction, providing guidance and support throughout. Our projects include additions, kitchens, bathrooms, finished basements, detached buildings, in-law suites, and more.

Our ultimate goal is to provide a predictable and stress-free experience for our customers. Achieving this requires us to implement proven systems and policies, along with maintaining consistent and honest communication. To facilitate this, we've invested in a cloud-based management system. This system streamlines every aspect of our projects, from schedules and selections to financials and all communications. Clients have access to a dedicated log-in that organizes all project elements in one place, ensuring transparency and ease of access.

What truly sets us apart is our unwavering commitment to strong communication and predictability. This approach is at the core of our service philosophy.

When individuals are in search of a contractor, they often dive right into the details of their project, skipping the most critical questions that should determine their choice of partner. It's crucial to ask questions like: Is there a written schedule? What is your company structure and size? Do you have employees, or are you subcontracting all the work out? What type of contract is it – fixed pricing or a time and materials contract? What does a typical payment schedule look like? What is your communication like with the customer? Taking the time to address these fundamental inquiries enables individuals to make a more informed decision about who to partner with, ensuring a smoother and more successful project outcome.
