Together with my husband Todd, we own MAO Design and Boutique by MAO Design. MAO Design is a full-service commercial and residential interior design firm offering services that range from construction documentation to interior styling. Boutique by MAO Design is a showroom open to the public, offering a curated collection of wallcoverings, flooring, tile, window treatments, area rugs, art, furniture, lamps, and decor items. Our core values center around connecting with local artisans and repurposing vintage and antique items. Our boutique showroom is unique because we provide a bespoke collection of home furnishings utilizing local artists. The boutique showroom is a branch of the design firm where we carefully select and purchase furnishings for our clients. Having these items in the showroom, we can service a larger audience and provide a highly crafted collection to our clients and customers.

Twenty years ago, I founded MAO Design while working full-time designing hotels in Boston and Portsmouth. Over the years, I've transitioned to a more concentrated focus on growing MAO Design, driven by my need for a personal connection with the end users of the spaces I design. I thrive on not only problem-solving for our clients but also creating functional and aesthetically pleasing spaces that positively affect our clients every day of their lives.

As our team and client base grew within the last year, it became clear that the next step in our business plan was to provide a level of service to our clients, offering a boutique showroom where we showcase and sell the items we source and select for our projects. In April of 2024, with the help of Primary Bank in Bedford, we closed on 39 Main St in Goffstown, N.H., and have been carefully renovating the 127-year-old building with love and compassion. This building now encompasses 800 square feet of the boutique showroom and 1200 square feet of our office spaces.

In addition to styling homes and businesses, MAO Design creates furniture plans, cabinetry design, 3D renderings, kitchen and bath renovations, interior layout plans, stage vacant/occupied homes, and select interior finishes. We design and source everything needed to build or renovate a home or office space.

While there are many great designers in the area, our team at MAO Design stands out due to our white glove, full-service design treatment. Our education (Masters in Interior Design/NCIDQ certification), training(AutoCAD/Revit/ChiefArchitect/SketchUp), and 20+ years of experience enable us to provide a level of service that instills confidence in our clients. We also love collaborating with other designers, developers, builders, and architects on new builds/renovations.

Interior design is not just a profession for me, it's my passion. I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to do what I love every day and for the next chapter in our journey. I am deeply appreciative of my team and the collaborative work we do on our projects. My focus is on building a family business that not only gives back but also enriches the community.
