Ode to My Dog (Tate W.)
Oh Dugan,
As fluffy as a puffed up sweater
You are a soft blanket
You talk to me every day saying
“Ruff ruff!”
Your cuddles make me feel warm
Dugan oh Dugan,
You are the best
Ode to My Couch (Charlie W.)
You are like a dusty bed from the 1980s
You are as creaky as my great grandmother’s floorboards
You are a beautiful lump of brown and green cushions
You talk to me with your breakfast leftovers like a therapist
Oh those 3 year old crusty cheerios you bring me
I love you because you are always there for me
When I have a rough day
Calm Waves  (Hollen M.)
Calm waves
What a view
So calm and peaceful
Like sail boats gliding across the ocean waves
With the sound of woodpeckers pecking on wood
And beautiful rainbow fish swimming in the calm ocean water
But soon as the sun starts to set
All of the fish start to go home
The woodpeckers stop pecking for the day
And no more sailboats gliding across the ocean waves
