THANK YOU for joining us at John Collins Park on September 22 for EGRMS PTO’s annual REGATTA fundraiser!  The kids took to the water on what ended up being a beautiful, warm and sunny day. With the collaboration of 600+ students, 50 EGRMS staff members, 100+ parent volunteers, EGR Water Polo team, and EGRHS Key Club, we celebrated our middle schoolers’ hard work and collaboration.  Each PIERS/homeroom class made two boats of cardboard and duct tape, one for speed and the other for style. Points were awarded for time, meeting parameters and a special challenge this year of keeping a passenger dry. 

Special thanks to EGRMS Principal Jeff Dykhouse; Assistant Gail Wolford and Secretary Jennifer Webb; EGRMS staff-led Regatta committee; EGRMS PTO Board and event committee members for all of the coordination and effort to make the Regatta a reality.

Donations from the event stay at EGRMS.  The PTO will allocate the funds to provide classroom enrichment throughout the school; support for elective courses such as Art and Innovation Lab; support for clubs such as Science Olympiad and Theater and any immediate needs that arise, such as tools and technology that will enhance the learning experience for all students.
