Robin’s Tres Verdes Salsa Caliente

Ingredients:
  • *4-5 FRESH Tomatoes (or any combination: 1 CAN DICED TOMATOES AND ONE CAN ROTEL & ONE CAN ROTEL DICED TOMATOES & GREEN CHILIES)
  • 1-3 Fresh Jalapenos or more if you like it hot (or small can)
  • 2 Hatch Green Chilies (or small can)
  • 10 Pickled Jalapeno Nacho Slices
  • 1 small onion
  • 1-4 crushed fresh garlic cloves to taste
  • Handful fresh Cilantro or to taste
  • ½ -1 TEASPOON Kosher Salt or to taste
  • Squeeze fresh lemon or lime
Directions:
Blend in a food processor bowl with a metal blade until preferred consistency. 
*I think fresh tomatoes are best, especially if they are fresh from the garden, then ripen on the counter for several days. We don’t always have fresh, though, so using some combination of fresh or even two cans of Rotel works also!
