The Cox Family

Hi! We're the Cox family—Bryan, Chloe, and Charley. Bryan and I have been married for eleven years. Bryan is an SVU detective with the San Antonio Police Department, and I’m a licensed professional counselor with a private practice in Fair Oaks Ranch. Our daughter, Charley, is a fifth-grade student at FORE and participates in elite cheer at Stars Vipers.
We moved into our home in Fair Oaks Ranch in November 2020, relocating from nearby Leon Springs, just a quick hop across I-10. Bryan is originally from Kansas City (Go Chiefs!) but moved to Texas as a teenager. I was born and raised in Texas, between San Antonio and Helotes. When we started our family, we knew we wanted to settle in Boerne, with our sights set on Fair Oaks Ranch. The stars aligned when our current home came on the market, just as we were ready to make the move.
Bryan graduated from UTSA with a degree in Criminal Justice. Becoming a police officer was always his dream, so transitioning from earning his degree to starting a career with SAPD was a natural step. I originally pursued a career in federal law enforcement, earning a bachelor’s degree in Criminology. During that time, I discovered a passion for helping people in a different way. I went on to earn a master's degree in Guidance and Counseling from A&M-San Antonio and completed the necessary steps to become licensed as a professional counselor (LPC) in Texas.
Bryan and I met in the early days of eHarmony (circa 2010). After exchanging questions and going on our first date, we never looked back. Eleven months later, Bryan proposed on the beach at Punta Cana, under a full moon. The rest, as they say, is history.
Bryan has been with SAPD for almost 22 years and has worked as a detective in the SVU for the last seven. His job isn’t easy, but he takes great pride in his work. As for me, I run Seamark Counseling Services here in Fair Oaks Ranch, where I provide care to people of all ages, helping them navigate life’s challenges and find happiness. I truly love what I do.
Our daughter, Charley, is 10 years old and attends FORE, where her favorite subject is science. She also plays volleyball at the local YMCA, with Bryan as her team’s coach. However, Charley's true passion is elite cheerleading. She competes nationally with Stars Vipers and spends her free time with friends, swimming, and practicing her tumbling skills.
Though Charley is an only child, she has plenty of furry companions. Our family includes four dogs: Chief, a six-year-old red lab; Sarge, a five-year-old Staffordshire terrier mix; LT, a two-year-old husky-shepherd mix; and Rookie, a one-year-old miniature dachshund. Chief and Sarge are our calm and loving rescues, while LT and Rookie are the playful troublemakers.
We’re season ticket holders for the Kansas City Chiefs and plan to spend the holidays in Kansas City. There’s nothing like cheering on the Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium on a chilly day as a family. We absolutely love living in Fair Oaks Ranch. Our mornings start with CrossFit at Fair Oaks Ranch, followed by a quick lunch at Spotted Deer. We also enjoy unwinding with a cold drink at Fair Oaks Roost in the evenings. One of our favorite traditions is Halloween in Fair Oaks Ranch. The community really comes together to create an amazing experience for the kids—there’s truly nothing like it!
