ROTARY – SERVICE ABOVE SELF

Whatever Rotary may mean to us, to the world it will be known by the results it achieves. -Paul Harris, Rotary Founder

The 2025-2026 Rotary Club of Fair Oaks Ranch Foundation Board Members.

The Rotary Club of Fair Oaks Ranch was the first and remains the foremost community service organization in the City of Fair Oaks Ranch. It is part of Rotary International, a global service organization that was founded and is headquartered near Chicago, IL. Rotary started with the vision of one man — Paul Harris. The Chicago attorney formed the Rotary Club of Chicago in 1905, so professionals with diverse backgrounds could exchange ideas and form meaningful, lifelong friendships. Over time, Rotary’s reach and vision gradually extended to humanitarian service. Rotarians have a long track record of addressing challenges in their communities and around the world.

The mission of Rotary is to "provide service to others, promote integrity, and advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through fellowship of business, professional, and community leaders". It is a non-political and non-religious organization with some 46,000 service clubs and 1.4 million members.

The Rotary Club of Fair Oaks Ranch was chartered on March 15th, 2012. It was formed with a number of transfers from other local Rotary Clubs and from several members joining Rotary for the first time. Long-time Rotarian Kathy Hubbard, who was instrumental in forming the Fair Oaks Ranch Rotary Club, served as the club's first president.

Membership in Fair Oaks Ranch Rotary has now surpassed 90 for the first time. Although most live on The Ranch, it is not required and many reside in the surrounding communities. Membership is by invitation and usually involves individuals attending a minimum of two luncheon meetings as guests of the Club and/or members and attending an orientation session.

Fundraising that underwrites many of the community non-profit organizations the Club supports is driven each year by the Annual Rotary Club of Fair Oaks Ranch Golf Classic. This function is held at the Fair Oaks Ranch Golf & Country Club, usually the first Monday in October and has evolved into one of the most highly anticipated and well-run Texas Hill Country events.

The list of organizations that have benefited from financial support from the FOR Rotary Club’s Foundation over the years has included many impactful local institutions, such as: BISD School Resource Officers; Blessings in a Backpack (BISD); Hill Country Daily Bread Ministries; Hill Country Family Services; Hill Country Mission for Health; Hill Country Pregnancy Care Center; Kendall County Women’s Shelter; Love Kendall County Kids; Meals on Wheels – Boerne; TBI Warrior Foundation; Girls on the Run; FOR Scout Troop #407; & Rotary Club CTE Scholarships (BISD).
