Jody and Brandon Verwolf are the owners of Trimlight New Braunfels, a family business specializing in low voltage permanent lighting for homes and businesses. Trimlight dealerships are independently owned and operated.

Jody grew up in Illinois and met Brandon in 1999 in St. Louis. He worked for a little over 20 years in the software industry, travelling around the globe. Their daughters are Ashley, Chelsea and Sydney. Ashley and Chelsea both played Division 1 softball and Sydney is now a sophomore at Texas State. They have 4 grandchildren under the age of 3. 

Jody explains that “we initially started up the dealership as a side business. Brandon was full-time in the software industry and we were also taking care of his mother, Susan. The business did much better than our expectations so we went all in and have not looked back. As of this year, we are proud to say we are the #1 Trimlight Dealer in the great state of Texas and the #3 dealer in the Trimlight network nationally. Our New Braunfels team installs Trimlight on over 500 homes a year, as well as businesses. We couldn’t do it without a really good family support system and a fantastic sales and installation team. In 2023, we opened up Trimlight Corpus Christi with Chelsea and Hunter (our Son-in-Law) as well as Trimlight South San Antonio with Alec Ovalle.”

Trimlight offers products including 6”, 9” and 12” residential lighting, commercial lighting, Downlights, Globe/Bistro lights and very soon we will add Trimlight’s landscape lighting to the product line. All of the products work on the same Trimlight app, making it easy to control your lights.

What sets us apart from the many lighting companies is that we are a family business that answers the phone. That may sound like a standard practice, but we found that there are many vendors out there that simply do not communicate in a timely manner. That became one of the main pillars of our business. Answer the phone, respond to emails and texts. Get back to every customer as soon as possible and make the process smooth and pressure free. That responsiveness has enabled us to earn the trust of our customers. The lifetime warranty doesn't hurt either!

Our team is very excited about the future. We continue to be included in fantastic projects. Not too long ago, we completed a lighting project for the San Antonio Zoo entrance. You can see Trimlight on the buildings at Natural Bridge Caverns. Soon, we will be starting a project with Northeast Lakeview College that will include lighting up 5 buildings with our commercial lighting. Trimlight has also been selected to be a partner with Lowe’s, another exciting opportunity on the horizon.
