Eden Bonahoom: The Speedy Dreamer of Fair Oaks Ranch
Eden Bonahoom is a lively 10-year-old in 5th grade at Fair Oaks Ranch Elementary. Eden has lived in Fair Oaks her entire life. It’s a place she adores, filled with friendly faces and her closest friends just a short dash away—perfect for someone who loves to run.
After school and on weekends, Eden is always on the move. As a proud member of Girls on the Run, she dashes through practices with her signature energy. When she’s not running, she’s scoring goals with the Boerne Soccer Club, delivering the morning news as part of KMNM, or helping her community as the secretary of Early Act, a service club sponsored by the Rotary Club.
Eden’s superpower of choice is as fitting as her boundless energy—super speed. "I’d love to win all the races," she says with a grin, dreaming of zooming past the finish line.
Her best friends mean the world to her. "They’re kind, honest, always stick up for me, and they’re super funny," Eden shares, her eyes sparkling with appreciation.
If Eden could travel anywhere in the world, she’d choose Colorado. "I love the cold, skiing, and seeing the mountains," she says. Plus, she’d get to visit her family there, making the adventure even more special.
At school, Eden shines in math. "I’m really good at it, and I catch on super fast—if that makes sense," she explains with a modest smile. Her quick thinking was put to good use recently when she dressed as a giant Stanley cup for Halloween. As goalie during soccer practice, her oversized costume caught all the balls, and her teammates couldn’t stop laughing. "LOL," Eden says, giggling at the memory.
Eden dreams big for her future. She’d love to become a running coach, helping others find their stride, or an engineer, bringing her creative ideas to life. "I’m really good at making stuff," she says confidently.
Her favorite family tradition is the annual Deck the Halls party. "It’s so fun because I get to see family and friends, and we all decorate for Christmas together," she says, her love for family shining brightly.
And let’s not forget Stella, her sweet and snuggly dog. "She’s always by my side, ready to have fun or snuggle up," Eden says with a big smile.
Eden Bonahoom is a girl on the go, with a heart as big as her dreams and a community cheering her on every step of the way. Who knows? Maybe one day, we’ll see her sprinting across the finish line—or engineering something extraordinary!
