Nutter Family Foundation Celebrates 20 Years of Community Impact
Dozer Day® Returns to Clark County October 3-4
A young operator takes the controls of a real excavator with guidance from a trained construction professional during Dozer Day®, one of the Pacific Northwest's premier family events focused on education, exploration, and workforce development.
Families will have the chance to climb aboard real construction equipment, explore career opportunities, and enjoy a weekend of hands-on fun when Dozer Day® returns to the Clark County Event Center at the Fairgrounds on October 3rd and 4th.
The interactive event transforms the fairgrounds into a construction playground where children and adults can climb into the cabs of bulldozers, excavators, dump trucks, and other heavy equipment. Guided by trained construction professionals, younger participants receive assistance while older teens and adults have the opportunity to operate equipment independently in a safe, supervised environment.
Beyond the heavy machinery, Dozer Day® offers activities for the entire family, including fire engines, ambulances, scavenger hunts, the popular Les Schwab Tire Crawl, sponsor activities, giveaways, and exhibits from community partners.
The family event is designed to inspire the next generation of skilled trades professionals. Through hands-on experiences and career exploration opportunities, attendees learn about careers in construction, engineering, equipment operation, and construction management.
This year's event also marks a milestone for the Nutter Family Foundation, which is celebrating 20 years of community impact. Along with hosting, the Foundation launched the inaugural BuildHER Summit in 2026, introducing young women to careers in construction and the skilled trades through mentorship and hands-on learning.
Since 2006, the Nutter Family Foundation has invested more than $2.5 million in children's charities and community programs while helping inspire thousands of future builders throughout the region.
