Meet the Holts: Rooted in Family, Grown With Purpose
Eric, Jessica, Jaxon (4) and Sadie (2)
On a quiet stretch of road located at the intersection of Bullfrog Valley Road and Roush Road in Derry Township, a striking 30,000-square-foot facility stands as proof that big dreams can grow from modest beginnings. This is the home of Creekview Lawn and Landscapes LLC—a family-built business rooted in hard work, brotherhood, and a shared love of the land.
Long before Creekview became a recognizable name throughout the Hershey, Hummelstown, and Palmyra area, its story began in Conewago Township, where three brothers–Michael, Bryan, and Eric–spent their childhood balancing sports schedules with after-school jobs and weekend projects. Raised by Chuck and Cheryl Holt, both of whom worked for the Hershey Company, the brothers grew up in a household where commitment, teamwork, and showing up—every single day—were simply a way of life.
Baseball, soccer, lacrosse, and snowboarding—the Holt boys were rarely still. But somewhere between practices and games, another passion took root. Working part-time in lawn care and landscaping while also clocking hours at Hersheypark, they discovered not just a way to earn money, but a craft they genuinely loved. What officially started by all three brothers in 2009 as side work, quickly gained momentum, and by 2012, Michael had stepped away from the business letting Bryan and Eric lead the way into full-time entrepreneurship.
Like many great small businesses, Creekview’s early days were humble. Operations ran out of bedrooms and a simple barn on their parents’ property before moving to a functional space in downtown Hershey—the former Hershey Car Barn near Hidden Still Spirits. Each location marked a new chapter, building steadily toward what would become their dream facility, completed in October 2025.
Today, brothers Bryan and Eric Holt lead the company together, a partnership defined by the business as much as blood. Bryan, a graduate of Elizabethtown College with a degree in Business Administration/Entrepreneurship Concentration brings structure and strategy to the operation. From sales and estimating to equipment management, and financial planning, he keeps the business running smoothly and sustainably. Eric, with a background in Horticultural Science from HACC, brings creativity and vision to the field. His expertise guides material selection, landscape planning, and design, while also shaping the company’s online presence, marketing, and social media—ensuring Creekview looks as good digitally as the properties it transforms in real life.
The work itself is anything but easy. Long winter nights spent doing snow removal give way to the relentless heat of summer, and both brothers have done every job the business requires. Those long hours and sleepless nights, they say, are a “silent” investment—one that pays off not only in growth, but in understanding every inch of the company they’ve built.
That dedication is visible throughout the new Hummelstown facility, rooted in the community that shaped them--where Creekview offers landscape maintenance, landscape construction, hardscaping, snow removal, and even firewood for backyard gatherings. With their expansion, they have been able to now offer bulk landscape material, as well as landscape and hardscape essentials to their business. The operation remains a family affair: sister-in-law Bethany Holt helps run the front desk, welcoming customers and assisting at the walk-up window for landscaping materials. Their mother Cheryl helps keep the office running, while heading up human resources, accounts payable, phone calls, and everyday office tasks, keeping everyone focused and in the family spirit.
Family extends beyond the office walls. After meeting their wives—Amanda and Jessica —while working at Hersheypark, Bryan and Eric now enjoy the tradition by bringing their own children to the park. Vacations to places like Raystown Lake and Myrtle Beach are shared experiences, moments to reconnect away from the demands of running a growing business. That same “family first” philosophy shapes how they treat their employees, fostering a culture built on respect, balance, and mutual support.
For the Holt brothers, success isn’t measured only in square footage or project lists. It’s found in the quiet investments—the unpaid hours, the long days, the willingness to listen, learn, and improve. And ultimately, it’s reflected in a family-owned business that not only enhances the beauty of the surrounding community but stands as a living example of what can happen when passion, perseverance, and partnership grow side by side.
