Fenicci's: Expressing love one meal at a time
Meet Kveta and Melissa Guarno of Fenicci’s of Hershey — a wife & daughter team carrying forward the heart and heritage of one of Hershey’s most beloved dining landmarks. Since the passing of their husband and father, Phil, they’ve worked side by side to honor his legacy and keep Fenicci’s thriving.
Guarno Family
Fenicci’s has been a Hershey tradition since 1935—nearly ninety years of serving locals, travelers, and generations of families. When Phil purchased the restaurant in 2006, he brought Fenicci's back to life and it's became a gathering place where everyone feels welcome. Since his passing, we’ve been honored to continue what he built and keep his vision alive every day we open our doors. There’s something special about being in the heart of Hershey. You feel the energy of the town: the families after a game, concertgoers, and lifelong locals. It’s a small town with a big heart, and we’re grateful to help keep it beating.
For us, food has always been an act of love—a way to bring people together and celebrate life’s moments, both big and small. Every recipe tells a story. We’re proud to continue making the family recipes passed down through generations, honoring the same traditions that built our foundation. Our pizza dough is still made by hand, our sauces simmer slowly, and every dish is prepared with care and patience. We cook with heart, serve with gratitude, and treat every guest as family. That’s how we express love—one meal, one smile, one memory at a time.
Our menu blends old-world Italian traditions with the spirit of Hershey. The most famous dish is our Upside Down Pizza, a Fenicci’s original that people travel miles to enjoy. Our Meatballs, Chicken Parmesan, and Homemade Lasagna have stood the test of time, while seasonal specials and creative cocktails keep things fresh. That balance—honoring tradition while having fun—is what keeps Fenicci’s uniquely Fenicci’s.
Losing Phil was the hardest chapter of our lives, but the outpouring of love from the community reminded us how deeply his spirit runs through Fenicci’s and Hershey itself. Carrying on his legacy means more than keeping the doors open—it means living by his example. That’s why we stay active in the community--Phil believed success only matters when it’s shared, and we continue to live by that in his honor.
"Every day we walk into Fenicci’s, we feel Phil with us — in the recipes, in the laughter of our guests, and in the sense of family that fills these walls. Our mission is to keep his spirit alive in everything we do. Fenicci’s has always been about love, community, and tradition, and that will never change."
