Meet Gracie
Meet Gracie. We believe she's a French Chartreuse, known for their talkativeness; Gracie definitely vocalizes everything! Typically, their body style is characterized by a short-legged build, a short tail, and a barrel-shaped body, all of which are well-suited for hunting. My understanding is that they were saved during World War II because they were excellent mousers, so the French would hide them in their cellars to ensure the breed survived after the war. The breed was then introduced in America.
We believe that Gracie is approximately 15 years old. She showed up on our property back in 2012 and chose us after she “interviewed us” for 2 weeks, circling our 1-acre property while staying well out of our reach. But she definitely kept herself in our sites. Then, one day, she just jumped in our laps! She has been our sweet… killer ever since!
