Strengthening La Grange's Bonds Through Sports and Community

Summer Fun with Golf, Kickball, and Yoga

The La Grange Neighbors and Newcomers (LGNN) organization continues to make waves in the local community with engaging sports activities. From golf and kickball to yoga, LGNN offers something for everyone, bringing residents together in a celebration of unity and summer fun.
Now in its 4th season, the LGNN Golf League has seen tremendous growth, with 55 members participating this year and a long waitlist of eager players. Every Wednesday night during the summer, Sugar Creek Golf Course in Villa Park comes alive with the spirit of friendly competition as women from the community gather for a relaxing 9-hole game.
In partnership with the La Grange Park Community Park District, LGNN's Co-ed Kickball League wrapped up its second successful season. This 4-week league offers couples a chance to join forces and participate in spirited matches while staying active and enjoying some healthy competition.
The league's collaboration with Hop District Brewing in La Grange Park added an extra layer of excitement, providing sponsored t-shirts and an inviting atmosphere for post-game celebrations. The league has quickly become an LGNN favorite!
LGNN also hosted its annual Summer Solstice Yoga celebration in Kait Van Cleave's backyard, bringing yogis of all levels together to embrace the beauty of nature and find inner peace through the ancient practice.
With each swing of the golf club, kick of the ball, and deep, mindful breath, the La Grange community grows ever closer, eagerly anticipating the exciting events and activities that lie ahead.

We hope to see you this fall at some of our social events!
