October Fall Fun
Local Outdoor Markets are still happening!
- The Farmers Market in La Grange
The La Grange Business Association (LGBA) sponsors a weekly Farmer’s Market on Thursdays from May to October. Fresh produce, baked goods, and flowers are available from local and area farmers. This weekly event is held along Harris Avenue near Village Hall and is very popular with residents from La Grange and neighboring communities.
- The French Market in Western Springs
Fridays through October 4-7pm. Bring the kids after school, stop by on your way home from the train, or come by after dinner for a sweet treat! There are many planned vendors, as well as live music!
Open House at the La Grange Fire Department
Tuesday, October 10th 4-6:30pm
Visit the fire house for an evening of family fun and education! The evening’s agenda consists of: Fire sprinkler demonstration, Public education, Sparky the Fire Dog, View the emergency vehicles and equipment, Kids’ activities & educational information, Photo opportunities, Refreshments, and Collection of expired fire extinguishers and smoke detectors for recycling.

LaGrange: Saturday, October 14th at Noon - 444 South La Grange Road
Western Springs: Saturday, October 14th at 4pm - Starting in Forest Hills
Halloween Hoopla at the Western Springs Rec
Friday, October 27th at 4:30-6:30pm
Treat your kids to a spooktacular evening out!! Children will enjoy games of
chance for one and all, flashlight Trick or Treating in Safety Village, a craft table
and strolling entertainment by our very own magician and balloon artist, Gary
Kantor. Pre-registration is required. Each CHILD MUST be signed up to attend this
event. LOTS of VOLUNTEERS are NEEDED... to make this special event a success
and to put a smile on our children’s faces. (Teens, adults, church groups, and scout

La Grange Halloween Walk & Trick or Treating
October 30th/31st - Time Varies by Event
The Village would like to advise residents that the La Grange Business Association is holding its annual Halloween Walk on Saturday, October 30, 2010. The walk will begin at 10:30 a.m. from the Cossitt School Playground. The recommended hours for trick-or-treating on Sunday, October 31, 2010 are from 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

October 31st at 3-8pm
The Village would like to recommend trick or treating during daylight hours - Enjoy a safe and fun night!
