Jennifer Taylor: Powering Purpose in Lake Highlands and Beyond
From leading North Texas Giving Day to inspiring her family, this neighbor is making a lasting impact through community service and collective giving.
In Lake Highlands, we are fortunate to have neighbors who go above and beyond to give back to our community. One such neighbor is Jennifer Taylor, who serves as the Chief Marketing Officer at the Communities Foundation of Texas (CFT). Jennifer's work is vital in leading marketing, communications, and external relations efforts for CFT, and she plays a pivotal role in overseeing North Texas Giving Day, the largest regional giving initiative in the nation.
This year, North Texas Giving Day connected over 3,000 local nonprofits with the community, raising more than $68 million. Jennifer emphasizes the impact of collective giving: “No matter the amount, when each of us gives, it really adds up.” Lake Highlands stepped up in a big way, with 2,043 residents contributing over $1 million to support 66 local nonprofits.
While North Texas Giving Day is Jennifer’s full-time job, she also spends evenings and weekends promoting the event and representing CFT at nonprofit fundraisers. Beyond September, anyone can give through NorthTexasGivingDay.org, a year-round platform for supporting local causes.
Jennifer’s commitment to community service extends to her family. Her daughter Samantha, a freshman at Bishop Lynch High School, recently earned her Girl Scout Silver Award, while her older daughter, Katheryne, volunteers regularly at the Dallas Holocaust and Human Rights Museum.
