Meet Breck!
Beagle/French Bulldog mix aka "frengle"

Tell us about Breck became a part of your family: My husband and I have been married for 4 years and haven't had kids or pets. I've always been a dog person and he "never understood how someone could revolve their life around a dog" (we LOL at this now). Finally, after a trip to Breckenridge, CO where we had fun seeing dogs ALL over, we came back to Dallas on the same page about getting a dog. I got on Petfinder and started swiping. I get overwhelmed easily and didn't know how I would ever choose the right dog - so many cute ones needed homes. I prayed about it, and then I saw the pictures of our guy from a rescue in Rowlett. I told my husband "I think I love him." And sure enough, he was the one. He was ours within a week! He is a little answer to prayer.
How did you come up with the name Breck? Breck after Breckenridge, CO - where my husband and I decided we were ready to get a dog!
What's something special or unusual about Breck? He rolls over on his back for belly rubs as his cute way of greeting us when we get home. We joke that he's telling us he's "not a threat" and we may "approach him for belly rubs." He also knows how to "high five." Homedog is also a FAST runner when he does "zoomies!"
What do you like best about Breck? Everything, truly. He's chill in the morning and at night and then has tons of "frengle energy" during the day. He's very fun-loving and playful and truly just loves to be around us, no matter what we are doing. He is full of love to give. He sleeps right in the middle of us just like a human, with his head on the pillow.
What are Breck's favorite toys & activities? His favorite toys are random things around the house he's claimed as his own like light switch cover, pool parts, ribbons, and yogurt containers. Of course, we've also bought him toys too, we aren't totally cheap parents! He also likes his lamby, Gumby, snowman, and of course his bones. He loves to go for hikes and adventure walks in nature, help his daddy in the backyard with projects, be chased in the backyard and around the house with his toys in his mouth, play with his friends at the park, contemplate life by the fire, and cuddle with his parents.
Tell us a funny story about Breck! He wiggles his backside when he's really excited and we call it his "wiggle walk". He also steals socks and my hairbrush that he knows he's not supposed to have when he wants attention and takes them outside to one certain spot in the backyard where he then rolls over for....of course. belly rubs. His whole personality is just silly, you'd have to meet him.
How spoiled is Breck? Oh, incredibly. We're convinced he thinks he's a human. We now revolve our days and even our trips around if we can bring him or not (we had the funnest family trip) to Hot Springs AR where he totally thrived, he has an endless supply of treats, bones, and toys. His dad has made him both a treat dispensing robot for when we are gone at work as well as a heated bed which he LOVES. He gets to help "clean" our dishes after every meal and always gets rice on sushi Fridays. He sleeps in bed with us and we make sure he gets a walk/dog park date daily. We just want him to have the best life!
What else should we know about your pet?
He has a brother, another Frengle, who we have met up with once and plan to again. It was so fun to see them reunited. We also call him all sorts of names: Brecky/Breckles/Baby Brecky/Frengle/Mr Wiggles... and more.
