MoMo Italian Kitchen hosted a Cocktail Pairing Dinner with Lyre’s Alcohol-free Spirits and their representative Trey Roland. As Always MoMo strives to be part of the Lake Highlands community and wants to be as inclusive as possible to all of their guests. With the rise of Dry January and Sober October, and the rise of people choose to abstain or reduce alcohol, expectant Moms, MoMo added a list of non-alcoholic options to their menu (The Italian one of their NA Cocktails was featured in our May issue) MoMo Chef Asher Created a menu of classically Italian inspired Dishes and Trey Created Cocktails using Lyre’s and fresh ingredients.
The First Course was a traditional Spinach Manicotti con Arrabiata - house made crepes (the traditional ways as opposed to pasta that most places serve) with spinach and Mozzarella Company’s Ricotta and a slightly spicy tomato sauce which was paired with a Negroni Sbagliato: Italian Orange, Aperitif Rosso, Classico Sparkling.
Second Course: Tonnato Vitello (A modern twist on the classic Italian dish Vitello Tonnato) - Seared Tuna with a veal Aioli With Cucumber Basil Gimlet Lyre’s Dry London lime juice simple syrup cucumber basil.
Third Course: Risotto Milanese con L’aragosta - Citrus marinated lobster, saffron risotto & figaro sauce. With Rosa 75 Lyre’s Pink London Spirit lemon juice simple syrup Classico Sparkling
Dessert: Pistachio Cannoli With Caffe Amaretti Lyre’s Amaretti & coffee.
With the growing popularity of NA Spirits Beyond the Bar a retail store specializing in Alcohol free beverages recently opened in Richardson (look for a collaboration between MoMo and Beyond the Bar in the near future). In the mean time MoMo will continue to provide Alcohol Free options alongside their full proof spirits and extensive Italian Wine List.
