In a whirlwind of wagging tails and boundless enthusiasm, our September spotlight falls on a vibrant bundle of energy that's been keeping the neighborhood on its toes – a dynamic and bustling puppy, Scout. 

Tell us about Scout became a part of your family: Scout was a dumped dog that another Lake Highlands resident found. She posted on Nextdoor that Scout needed a home. Thirty minutes later, we decided to take her in! 

How did you come up with the name Scout? We thought the name Scout sounded cute for a shepherd mix.

What's something special or unusual about Scout? We’ll find out! She loves hanging out our pile of leaves in the backyard.

What are Scout's favorite toys & activities? She absolutely loves her toy donuts, and no other toy makes her that happy. She also enjoys cuddling while watching tv with us.

What else should we know about your pet? Scout loves everyone she meets and is always so happy! She knows she’s not supposed to chew up our shoes. When she gets a shoe, she runs and slides as fast as she can down our hallway with the shoe, and she sleeps on our furniture like it’s hers.
