Meet Louis Bear Kearns: The Regal Corgi with a Mischievous Streak
Q: Louis Bear Kearns, how did you come to join your family?
Louis: The kids had been asking for a pet for a while, and our parents felt they were old enough to take on some of the responsibilities. Mom's brother had two corgis that she loved, so she always said that if we got a dog, it would be a corgi. Lucky me!
No one could agree on a name! My brother really liked Louis (which sounded appropriately regal for the Queen’s breed of dog), while my sister really liked Bear. Neither of them liked any of the names our parents’ suggested, so we settled on Louis Bear. They mostly just call me Louis now, but he I lots of nicknames (including Lou-cifer when I'm being naughty).
Q: What do your family members like best about you?
Louis: I am sweet and loyal. I likes to snuggle (when I'm in the mood, of course) and play, but if anyone in the family is upset, I as quick to rush to them to see if they are okay and give kisses.
Q: Can you share a fun story about yourself?
Louis: I came home when I was only 3 months old, and with how tiny I was and how short my legs were, my family thought they wouldn't have to worry about me going upstairs in our house. But on the 3rd day, I figured out how to climb the stairs and cause trouble in the kids’ rooms. They quickly had to get a baby gate for the stairs.
Q: Is there anything else you’d like to share?
Louis: I am highly food motivated and would do just about anything for a treat!
