Dallas Athletic Club wins National Championship!
Seventeen moms make a goal and crush it!
In January 2020, a group of 17 moms formed a tennis team at the Dallas Athletic Club and set a goal – to win a national championship. On October 22, during an unforgettable weekend, they did just that. The team won their local league flight, then competitions at the Dallas and Texas section levels to advance to the United States Tennis Association's (USTA) 40+ 3.0 Women’s National Championship. Texas was among 17 sections from across the United States representing nearly 55,000 players on 3,300 teams from their league. After the final, nail-biter versus Pacific Northwest, these ladies ended the season 24-0 as National Champions. They are the first team from the Dallas Athletic Club to win the title and the first Texas team in at least 10 years to win in this division. Proof that no matter your age, you can accomplish big things, and have fun doing it.
