How long have you been in education?  I have been a teacher for 8 years, the last three teaching 4th grade bilingual at LHE. 

What is your favorite part about teaching? My favorite part of teaching is helping students recognize their academic and personal growth.

What is your teaching style? My teaching style is a mix of being a facilitator and a collaborator. I like working with the students to develop the confidence they need to work independently and with their peers to achieve their academic goals.  

Where might we find you outside the classroom? I live in Lake Highlands with my husband and three children. My principal role is the one of a mother who tries to be involved in after school children’s activities. I like to walk around the neighborhood and workout a few times a week to keep myself healthy. My family loves Shady’s, FireBox, Tony’s, Taco Joint, and of course Andy’s for desert! I am a member of Jazzercise and YAM and love to support them as I get myself in shape to keep on with my busy life.
