February 

Meeting Annette Howell Ferrell, better known as "Mike," was a fun kick-off to the year. The February Rising Star Miss Ellie Hildebrand, who one day will be a famous gymnast, and cuddly Clyde, a Corgi Pomeranian, stole our hearts as spotlights and we celebrated our Lakewood Debutante Miss Kaitlin Ann Kelly this month of community love of Lakewood. 

March

We were so lucky to meet the Jordan family, as they are passionate about being invovled in the Lakewood community. We were introduced to Mico, the Alaskan Malamute, our rising star was Reed Carpenter, and we got to learn more about the volunteer work of neighbor Heather McNamara as she co-chaired the Junior Leage of Dallas Milestones Luncheon.

April

The Morris Ladies of Lakewood won our hearts with their family commitment to our Lakewood youth! Our rising star Callan Ordegaard, with his dream of being a firefighting pilot when he gets older, and the special adopt me opportunities with the SPCA were a sweet addition this month. We loved supporting the 15th annual White Rock Home Tour and celebrating the Wildcats Swim Team finishing strong at the State Championship 

May

Congratulations to the Woodrow Wilson class of 2023! We were delighted to showcase the graduation seniors and learn about where some of them would be attending post-graduation. Nelson, the Lab/Doberman mix was our pet of the month, Holland Fink was our rising star, and our athlete spotlight was Nate Fink and his love of baseball. We also celebrated LECPTA donating $355,000 at their Founder's Day Luncheon and enjoyed the photos from our Stroll & Greet VIP Night.

June

We got the opportunity to meet the Mayor of Sunnyland, Eric Hoefnagel, this month and learn about his amazing life! JD was our precious pet of Lakewood. We also got to celebrate some of the dads in Lakewood along with the undefeated Lady Lions soccer team. 

July

We celebrated summer with the Pope family, who shared their adventures in Lakewood and beyond. We checked our local business HeyDay with Page Jordan, and discovered some must-watch TV shoes for summer 2023 thanks to Ella Darlak. White Rock Foundation's 16th annual golf tournament was a success and we celebrated the end of the JL Long Buccaneers and Woodrow Wilson Wildcats baseball seasons.

August

We meet Tara Rasheta, an amazing role model in our community, and her family as we kick off the start of school and Cotillion. Jack Rehberger shares his future goals of being an NBA player or a zookeeper and Woodrow Wilson celebrated their 2nd annual CATFEST. Our feline pet of Lakewood, Tigger, stole the spotlight from the pups, as September is National Dog Month!

September

We loved meeting the ladies of the 47th annual Lakewood Home Tour: Shelly Dolson,Michelle Rehberger and Genniva Bruce, and learning about the hard work taking place for the upcoming event! Our pet of the month was Ash, the charming feline found at a school. We explore the wonders of Yellowstone with the Darlaks and we discover the roots of WoodrowFest with Brian Bessner and Clay Drury.

October

The dynamic duo of Nam and Dina are amazing new neighbors to our Lakewood community. It was fun getting to know our rising star, Harrison Stuart, and energetic pet of Lakewood, Koda. And explore the Museum of Illusions with Oliver Pascal. 

November

Sharing our thankfulness all across our community, we highlighted the Brown family, who has a commitment to unity, giving back and making memories in Lakewood. We thanked Herb Sheaner for his service and dedication to our community. Ella Darlak shared ways to give back this holiday season on places to volunteer and Preston Stuart was our rising star sharing his love for architecture and construction. 

December

We wrapped up 2023 with the Stuart Family, who encouraged all neighbors to get out and know their neighbors. Lauren Foxx shared some interior design trends for 2024 and Megan Airitam shared the revival story of Woodrow's music programs thanks to directors Caitlin Schmidt and Michael Park. We also got an insight scoop on teenage lingo and got to learn about the future famous rising star Ella Swail.
