Meet Maggie: The Fearless Pomeranian with a Big Personality

From Parking Lot Pup to Family Protector, Maggie the Pomeranian Steals Hearts with Her Spunky Charm.

Kelsey Doolen is the owner of an adorably fluffy Pomeranian, Magnum PI. Mangum is also known as “Maggie” or “Magginum.” This name came from “Joel’s [her husband] obsession with Magnum PI,” says Kelsey. Maggie was found in a Walmart parking lot, and she was a sister to the Doolen family’s dog Teddy. Teddy now lives with Kelsey’s brother-in-law in Wichita Falls because he is not the biggest fan of toddlers.

Kelsey loves that Maggie is “darling, chill, and spunky.” Maggie also loves to play with whichever kids’ toy she can get her paws on. She loves to sit in the Doolen’s backyard and stare out of a hole in their fence while watching cars drive down Skillman. She also loves when it is dinner time for the Doolen’s two-year-old because “she is the best vacuum on the market,” says Kelsey.

Something interesting about Maggie is that one time, Maggie ate a pacifier and had to have an emergency surgery to get it removed. Now the Doolen’s children are no longer allowed to have pacifiers. Another funny story is when Maggie was a puppy, she tried to fight a Great Dane; however, Maggie weighed about three pounds at the time. She only weighs six now but “she is fearless,” Kelsey says.

Maggie is very well taken care of; she gets treats and is allowed to sleep in the Doolen’s bed. Although, she is not extremely spoiled. She is extremely protective of babies, and she loves to cuddle!
