Lakewood’s Georgia Williamson Presented as Dallas Symphony Orchestra Debutante
A 2024 Ursuline graduate and TCU sophomore, Georgia continues a tradition of leadership, service, and academic excellence.
Lakewood neighbor Georgia Bedell Williamson recently celebrated a special milestone when she was presented as a debutante at the 40th Annual Dallas Symphony Orchestra League Presentation Ball, held February 21 at the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center.
Georgia, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Steven Robert Williamson and sister to Steven Robert Williamson, Jr., graduated from Ursuline Academy of Dallas in 2024 and is currently a sophomore at Texas Christian University, where she is pursuing a degree in Finance.
At TCU, Georgia is actively involved on campus and in her community. She is a member of Chi Omega Sorority and serves on the Cardinal Cabinet Make-A-Wish Committee. Her dedication to academics has earned her recognition on TCU’s Academic Dean’s List, and she has been selected for both the TCU Consultative Selling Program and the Neely Next Step Mentorship Program within the university’s business school.
Outside of the classroom, Georgia enjoys cooking, practicing yoga, playing pickleball, and attending concerts with friends. Giving back is also an important part of her life. Through the Letters of Love organization, she writes encouraging letters to hospitalized children. One of her most meaningful volunteer experiences was traveling to Guatemala on a mission trip with the Women of Orphan Outreach, where she served alongside others working to support children and families in need.
Georgia was one of 44 debutantes presented at this year’s Dallas Symphony Orchestra League Presentation Ball, a longstanding Dallas tradition that celebrates young women for their leadership, community involvement, and commitment to service.
This year’s event was particularly meaningful as it marked 80 years of leadership by the Dallas Symphony Orchestra League and 125 years of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. Proceeds from the evening support the Dallas Symphony Association’s community outreach and education programs, which bring the joy and power of music to thousands of children each year.
For the Lakewood community, it was also a proud moment to celebrate one of its own.
