Where did you come from, Bruiser? Well, I was picked up on a back road in Mabank, Texas. My new dad’s pops opened his truck door, and I just jumped right in and laid on his lap. He called my dad, who drove an hour to come get me. When he saw me in the kennel at the fairgrounds outside shelter, it was love at first sight.

Is there a story behind your name? My markings make it look like I have a black eye, and now that I’m getting confident, I growl and act like a tough guy, even though I’m only 12 pounds.

Do you have any special talents or quirks? Oh, definitely! When I need to go poop, I spin in circles about 12 times. It makes my dad dizzy just watching me!

What do you like best about cuddling? I’m a big lover; I love to cuddle and even give hugs.

What’s your favorite toy? I have a duck that I’m very fond of. I play like I want my dad to grab it, but then I cover it and growl playfully.

Any funny stories from your life? Yes! When I first got my vaccines and a grooming session, I was so excited that I started howling with joy on our walk afterward. I had never been spoiled like that before!

How spoiled are you, Bruiser? I’m pretty spoiled. I get a pup cup from Starbucks once a week, about 5 trail walks a day, and people often gift me little toys and shirts after meeting me.

Anything else we should know about you? I’m very playful and I love cats!
