Cultivating Kindness: The Power of a Thank You Note
Embrace Gratitude with Simple Gestures and Heartfelt Expressions
“When eating fruit, remember the one who planted the tree.” This Vietnamese proverb beautifully captures the idea of gratitude. It’s a nice reminder to give proper thanks when receiving kindness.
- It’s best to send thank you notes as soon as possible. Be quick on the uptake, while the genuine thanks is still fresh on your mind. Not only should we express gratitude for gifts or after events, but also for kind gestures.
- In this digital age, a handwritten thank you note can really go a long way. Be sure that your expression of gratitude is specific, but keep it brief, no need to write a lengthy letter. It’s more important to personalize your note and write from the heart.
- Keep an eye out for a chance to reciprocate kindness and generosity. As they say, “One good turn deserves another”. If there’s a chance to extend the same courtesy or favor, take advantage of the opportunity.
