‘Hamilton’ at the Winspear Opera House AT&T Performing Arts Center

This was my second time watching ‘Hamilton’ and it felt just as new and original as it was a decade ago. The show has a way of staying pertinent throughout its many successful tours. Lin Manuel Miranda infused the musical with hip hop and rap in 2015 which set the standards of musicals for more than a decade. When watching it for the second time, I asked if the music or play was updated to stay relevant because it really did feel like a brand new mix of musical genres still pushing the musical boundaries.

The show lasted about two hours and 45 minutes. Being there in person felt like experiencing the American Revolution and Alexander Hamilton’s life in person, giving you a whole new sense of pride and instilling you with many of the interesting events that occurred in the late 1700’s and early 1800’s.
