The Museum of Illusions
By: Oliver Pascal, Junior Resident Contributor
When it comes to illusions there are many secrets. At the Museum of Illusions, where I spent a fun Saturday morning with my family, it is all about sharing the secrets with you. Learning how your brain processes these illusions is part of the fun!
The Museum of Illusions is located on 701 Ross Avenue in Downtown Dallas’ West End and is sure to blow you away with its many illusions. Some of my favorite illusions include a spinning room, infinity room, and even a room that’s completely upside down. There is also an illusion that uses mirrors to mix and match yours with anyone else’s face and body. There are countless puzzles to try and solve. And you can find optical illusions scattered around the museum.
All activities have instructions in English and Spanish. There is a gift shop near the entrance with puzzles and illusions. The parking is convenient with parking meters everywhere. I recommend buying tickets in advance to reserve your spot.
My visit lasted around an hour and a half which gave us plenty of time to see all of the illusions and puzzles, while having just enough time to revisit our favorites. This would be a great activity for the weekday or weekend with friends and family. On the ticketing page of their website, you can learn how to plan a group visit or host a private event.
Tickets range from $17.00 to $21.00 per person. Plan your visit today: moidallas.com
