As a four-year-old pup, you might think I'd prefer the cozy corners of a soft bed, but not me! The thrill of the outdoors calls to me. Every Saturday morning, as the sun peeks through the curtains, my tail wags in anticipation. I know it's time to hit the trails. The car ride to Mount Si is filled with excitement; I can barely contain myself as I press my nose against the window, watching the world zoom by.

Once we arrive, the real adventure begins. The scent of pine and the cool, crisp air fill my lungs as I dart through the underbrush, my legs carrying me faster than my human can keep up. I love the feeling of the rugged terrain under my paws, the challenge of steep climbs, and the thrill of exploring new paths. Sometimes, I meet other hikers, and while I’m always keen to greet them, the squirrels are truly my favorite. 

Running on the beach is another highlight of my week. The open space, the endless water, the soft sand squishing between my toes—it's a dog's paradise. I dash along the shoreline, chasing waves, feeling the breeze ruffle through my fur, and occasionally stopping to dig a hole or two. Why do I dig? Maybe for the sheer joy of it or perhaps hoping to uncover buried treasures.

Now, you might be wondering about my unique name. Here’s a little secret from my owner:

"I had Mona for about 2-3 weeks before I came up with her name. I was utterly exhausted from dealing with puppyhood. One day, I was lounging around, wearing my Mona Lisa socks, and I just looked down at them and thought, ‘Wow, Mona could work?’ I wanted a name with a little spunk, and she is such a Mona!"

Indeed, I am a Mona through and through—spunky, adventurous, and always ready for the next big outing. My name not only reflects my personality but also ties me to a little piece of art, quite fitting for a charismatic Frenchie like myself.
