Hi Mercer Island! We’re Carmel and Coco, two fluffy golden best friends with big personalities, very fluffy hair, and a shared belief that every day is better with a good toy, a walk outside, and a little attention from everyone we meet.

You may have seen us around town playing together, lounging in the shade, or carrying around our favorite blue toy. We like to think of ourselves as a package deal. Where one of us goes, the other is usually close behind. Sometimes we share nicely. Sometimes we negotiate. And sometimes one of us decides the toy is simply too good to give up.

Our days are pretty wonderful. We love being outside, exploring, greeting neighbors, and keeping an eye on all the exciting things happening around us. There is always something to sniff, someone to say hello to, or a patch of shade that looks perfect for a little rest.

People often tell us we look alike, and we understand why. We both have curly caramel-colored coats, happy faces, and a lot of fluff. But our family knows we each have our own personality. Carmel is playful and curious, while Coco is cozy and affectionate. Together, we make a pretty good team.

One of our favorite things about life on Mercer Island is how many friendly faces we get to meet. We love walks, playtime, and the chance to make people smile. We may not know exactly what “Dog of the Month” means, but we are assuming it involves treats, compliments, and possibly another blue toy.

At home, we bring plenty of joy, a little bit of chaos, and a lot of love. We keep our family laughing, make sure no toy goes unplayed with, and do our best to remind everyone that life is better when you slow down, go outside, and enjoy the moment.
