Where Art, Flavor, & Music Meet!
Only a short drive west of Mill Creek, the APEX building in Everett stands as a vibrant hub where art, dining, and live entertainment come together. A landmark at the heart of downtown Everett, it's home to a fine dining restaurant, a concert venue, and much more.
Their award winning restaurant, 16Eleven, recently hosted Greet Mill Creek’s partners as well as some residents to experience what it brings to the community. The restaurant, which aims to set the mood with a sultry, romantic atmosphere, catered to a memorable date night. 16Eleven’s mission to bring fine dining to the Everett area is accomplished through elegant dishes such as their famous Beef Wellington and Seafood Risotto. The craft cocktail menu features top-shelf spirits with all syrups and mixers made in-house for an elevated touch. Guests can also enjoy a three-course lunch menu priced at $35, offering the same high quality in a more casual and accessible setting. Tuesdays bring live music to the restaurant but if you're looking for even more entertainment, go up to their third floor where you’ll find the Kings Hall venue.
The event calendar for King’s Hall, an unforgettable state-of-the-art venue, offers unique acts, notable musicians, and even mixed martial arts events. The fun doesn’t stop there! Head one floor down and you’ll find El Sid, a coffee shop by day and punk rock bar by night. El Sid cleverly combines the rebellious edge of the 70s and 80s, while also bringing unmistakable elegance. By day, sunlight fills El Sid as espresso shots buzz and the aroma of freshly brewed coffee drifts through the room. But as the sun sets, the energy transforms — the coffee bar becomes a cocktail lounge where craft drinks are beautifully mixed by talented bartenders. El Sid brings its own lineup of entertainment, from live music and karaoke to comedy nights, adding yet another layer to the APEX Everett experience.
With all this excitement in one building, one might think this was always its intention, but when John Carswell first acquired the building, the vision was to create a graffiti art museum. Carswell’s collection, known as The DogTown Collection, is the world's largest collection of graffiti art on canvas. The nonprofit group, American Graffiti & Urban Art Conservation Project (AMGRAF), hosts this collection at APEX Everett ensuring the preservation and longevity of this artform. AMGRAF’s mission goes beyond simply showcasing the art, it also introduces the significance of this project through workshops, panels, and performances. A main pillar of this is their at-risk youth outreach program which aims to introduce a positive and creative outlet for self-expression.
APEX Everett’s humble intention of showcasing impactful graffiti art has blossomed into a cornerstone of entertainment, redefining the local nightlife scene. It now stands as a seamless blend of culture, live performance, and incredible food and drinks. For Mill Creek residents it’s the perfect destination for a romantic evening, a live show, or a dose of creativity - all just a short drive away.
