Elevated Networking

Business Partners from the N2 Company's local Greet and Stroll community magazines gather at Ascend to network!

Sweeping skylines, elevated culinary, and memories made. On September 15th, Ascend Prime Steak & Sushi in Bellevue hosted a B2B event for our local Stroll and Greet magazine business partners to network and mingle. In addition to the gorgeous views from the 31st floor restaurant, guests enjoyed some of Ascend’s inspired fare, including Hamachi Truffle Rolls, Spicy Citrus Avocado Rolls, lettuce wraps filled with tofu or wagyu beef, and more.

Heralded for their deliciously whimsical desserts, a selection of miniature versions of their classics were on hand as well. And let’s not forget Ascend’s signature cocktails: amid pours of sommelier-selected white and red wines, we were treated to the Cloud 9, a concoction of Grey Goose Vodka, St. Germain, fresh lemon, and Ascend’s house vanilla syrup, with dry ice creating the illusion of clouds rolling over the glass.

Hosting events like ours are not new to the team at Ascend Prime. With the holidays fast approaching, I asked Alysha Janmohamed, Ascend’s sales & events manager, for her best entertaining tips. Her recommendations:

  • Make it memorable by offering a gift or giveaway. Take-home items like these have become increasingly popular, so be thoughtful and make it something functional. We collaborate with a local artist who creates unique items such as hand-painted name cards, branded holiday ornaments, bottle openers, and even engraved chopsticks. These all make wonderful mementos for your guests.
  • If you are hosting at home, be realistic about what you can accomplish. Create a schedule for planning at least 36 hours prior to your event and have a checklist of what needs to be done ahead of time. Assume about 20% of what you think you can do, you likely cannot — so prioritize! For example, putting the bows around all the napkins may not happen if the meat needs to be put in the oven.
  • It’s all about balance. Choose menu items and experiences your guests will enjoy, while also including a few that excite you personally. Variety is key: pair lighter bites with something heartier or mix a classic crowd-pleaser with a more adventurous dish. The same idea applies to décor — if you’re excited about a theme, lean into it. Striking that balance between what delights your guests and what feels special to you creates the most memorable events!
Ascend’s Private Dining Program and Suites

And finally, if you choose Ascend to host your event, you won’t be disappointed! With the curated menus delivering something for everyone, their team will guide you in selecting dishes that accommodate all your guests, including vegan, dairy-free, nut-free, gluten-free, or full-on omnivore offerings.

They will also determine the best private suite for your occasion, depending on the size of your group and budget. Virtu, the smallest suite, holds up to 16 guests, while the Vista suites feature an attached terrace and can accommodate 12 to 40 guests. Vertigo, the largest suite, showcases a stunning chandelier and seats up to 80 (100 standing) with a 270-degree panoramic view from the Cascades to Mt. Rainier and Lake Washington. Partial buyouts of our lounge area are also available for groups of 80 or more. If a private lunch is preferable, Ascend offers lunch packages for groups of 20 up to 600.

“Whatever your event, our food and service will assure it is elevated and unparalleled,” says Janmohamed. “We strive to create memories and experiences unlike any other.”
