Growing the Game in Mill Creek and Everett
Jackson-Cascade Lacrosse builds for the future.

Since 2010, Everett Lacrosse Club (ELC) has been the driving force behind youth lacrosse in the Everett School District. A nonprofit and volunteer-led organization, ELC serves players from kindergarten through high school, focusing on character, community, and the core values of sportsmanship, leadership, courage, dedication, and passion.
At the high school level, ELC operates the Jackson-Cascade boys program—a combined team of student-athletes from both Henry M. Jackson High School in Mill Creek and Cascade High School in Everett. The team competes in the Wesco league and is governed by the Washington High School Boys Lacrosse Association (WHSBLA), providing a home for athletes from both schools to learn, grow, and compete at a high level. Coaches award varsity letters to players meeting the high standards of commitment, academics, and participation.
A Transitional Season, A Stronger Future
The 2025 high school spring season was a year of development. With a large senior class graduating in 2024, this year’s roster featured a younger core—including several players who picked up a stick for the first time. While the team faced tough competition, they showed resilience, commitment, and real growth. Coaches and returning players are already looking ahead to fall workouts and the 2026 season, ready to build on what was learned.
Partnering with Schools to Expand Access
To raise awareness and encourage broader participation, Everett Lacrosse Club works closely with the Everett Public Schools athletics department and the athletic directors at both Jackson and Cascade. These partnerships help promote the sport to multi-sport athletes and students who may not yet realize lacrosse is an option. Looking forward, ELC is laying the groundwork for a future with separate high school programs for all three traditional EPS high schools: Jackson, Cascade, and Everett. As participation grows, so will opportunities for student-athletes to compete under their own school’s banner.
Recruiting the Next Generation
To grow the game, ELC hosts free TryLax Clinics throughout the year. These beginner-friendly events give students in grades K-12 a chance to try lacrosse in a no-pressure and no-gear-needed setting.
In partnership with Everett Public Schools, ELC also supports a PE lacrosse curriculum, providing equipment and training for in-school programs. Several elementary schools already participate, and efforts are underway to expand districtwide and introduce the sport to every student.
