Christmas Tree Lighting!

Join us in celebrating the season at our new location on Saturday, December 6th!

The City of Mill Creek has been celebrating our beloved Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony at City Hall for many years! It all started after City Hall was built in 1989, when staff planted a little spruce out front. Since then, that tree has grown to an impressive height of over 35 feet, yet sadly, it’s showing signs of age so we’ll need to say goodbye to it soon.

Over the years, we've wished our tree was in a spot where the community could gather more easily for photos, caroling, and festive fun. The current location, while loved, has a busy parking lot and isn’t the most picturesque setting. Now feels like the perfect time for a change! We’re excited to introduce a gorgeous new 14-foot Nordmann fir which we’ll plant in the plaza near The Jewelry Source, visible from Starbucks and Town & Country Market. This charming location will be easily accessible in the heart of Mill Creek Town Center, and is just the right spot until we find a wonderful permanent home in the years ahead. Don’t worry, though – the tree will move with us when that time comes!

Join us in celebrating the season at our new location on Saturday, December 6th!  The day kicks off with the Santa Parade along Main Street and shopping in Santa’s Village, brought to you by the Mill Creek Chamber of Commerce, followed by the City of Mill Creek Tree Lighting Ceremony. We can’t wait to celebrate with you!
