Jackson Girls Golf: A Season for the Record Books
Jackson's Girls Golf Team capped the 2025 season with a sweep through the league, district, and state championship tournaments. The Timberwolves completed the two-day state tournament at Eagle's Pride Golf Course with a convincing 13 stroke win over 2nd place Kentwood High School. This is the first team state title for the Timberwolves.
Sophomore Chanyoung Park finished in 2nd place in state, falling one stroke short of a repeat of her state title last season. Seniors Paige Swander and Lindsay Catli played in their fourth consecutive state championships marking the end of their stellar high school careers. Sophomore Kayla Kim and Freshman Karen Shin finished in 11th and 14th place in the individual scoring.
In the two-day district championships held at Snohomish Golf Course in early May, the Timberwolves posted a very impressive win. After squeaking out a one stroke win last year, the Timberwolves bested second place Kamiak by 52 strokes. On day one of the tournament, Chanyoung Park posted a 5-under par 67, setting a new woman's course record.
Special congratulations to the team members who earned All-WESCO First Team Honors:

Jackson Fastpitch Softball Returns to State Again!
Congratulations to the Henry M. Jackson High School Fastpitch Softball Team on another remarkable season, capping off with a 4th place finish at the WIAA 4A State Tournament!
The Timberwolves, led by first-year Head Coach, Larri Werner, showed grit and growth all season long. After starting 7-11, the team rallied to win six of their last seven games, finishing second in Wesco and third in the District 1-2 Bi-District Tournament.
In a pivotal moment during the district consolation final, Allie Thomsen, a University of Washington signee, delivered a dominant performance on the mound, tossing a complete-game, four-hit shutout with seven strikeouts and just one walk in a 1-0 win over Lake Stevens to help Jackson clinch their state berth. With a strong close to the season, the Timberwolves earned their 9th consecutive trip to the state tournament, where they battled hard and secured a Top 4 finish in the state. A fantastic finish for a team that showed perseverance, pride, and the power of tradition.
