Budget Blinds of Mill Creek
Dressing Every Window with Style and Functionality!

Beautiful Roman Shades offer privacy while still letting in abundant light.
Nothing freshens up a home or improves the lighting within it more quickly than installing new window treatments. Whether it's drapes, blinds, shutters, or shades, dressing your windows adds character and warmth to your rooms and enables you to control the natural light to create a variety of moods. Yet with all the options available, choosing the right treatment can be a nightmare without expert guidance. Luckily, Budget Blinds is here to help!
While Mill Creek’s Budget Blinds has been around for nearly 25 years, its current owner, Aaron Miller, purchased it from the previous owners in November of 2023. “I had been looking at several businesses, but my career has been in the home services business focused on the home automation and audio/visual market,” he continues. “Since an integral part of this business involved selling and integrating automated window coverings, it was the perfect fit.”
While Aaron continues to run the business the way its previous owners did in terms of processes and procedures, he has made changes with respect to efficiency within the organization and has instilled the following values in the culture here.
- Be obsessed with customer service.
- Be of value to the community.
- Show respect and humility to your fellow coworkers.
As for services, Budget Blinds offers everything from design to installation. “Our designers will help you determine the type and color of window covering for each window and door in your home, and our installers will do the final installation,” Aaron assures. “If anything goes wrong, we will follow up with repair services.” They offer blinds, shutters, shades, and drapes, but within those categories, there are several options to choose from.
- Blinds: Wood Blinds, Aluminum Blinds, Vertical Blinds, Vertical Blind Alternatives, Door Blinds, Faux Wood Blinds, Vinyl Blinds, Composite Blinds, and Patio Door Blinds.
- Shutters: Plantation Shutters, Wood Shutters, Interior Shutters, Café Shutters, and Composite Shutters.
- Shades: Roller Shades, Roman Shades, Cellular Shades, Bamboo Shades, Woven Wood Shades, Outdoor Shades, Pleated Shades, Sheer Shades, Graphic Shades, Solar Shades, and Zebra Shades.
- Drapes: Panels, Drapes, Valances, Drapery Hardware, and Outdoor Drapes.
- Motorization Options: Motorized Blinds, Motorized Shades, Motorized Drapes, Smart Home Collection, Motorized Retrofit Solutions, Somfy® Motorization Solutions, and Lutron® Smart Home Automation.
Aaron says many customers already have an idea of what they want having looked at pictures, perused Budget Blinds’ website, or seen something at a friend’s home. “Our job is to align their wants and needs with their budget, and we have several ways of doing that,” he says. “We offer everything from luxury products to ‘opening price point’ products. Unlike big box stores, we don’t sell ‘builder grade’ products as they just don’t have the quality and durability that we feel comfortable staking our reputation on.” By partnering with some of the best vendors in the world, they can mix and match products to give you the best solution for your budget and home.
One of the things that truly sets Budget Blinds apart from the competition is its warranty. “On a vast majority of our products we offer a five year no questions asked warranty. Whether your cat crawled up the window treatment and ripped it or your toddler broke it, it gets replaced for free one time within those five years,” Aaron explains. “In some cases, we’ve had customers who bought an entire room of window coverings in the same style and color, and when one went defective in those five years and the color was no longer available, we replaced the whole room for free.”
The value Budget Blinds offers is second to none, and so are its employees. “Everyone we send to your home is a full-time employee of ours,” Aaron says proudly. “Most window covering providers contract out their installers and often their measuring and everything else, whereas we know everyone coming to your house and ensure they have the proper training to ensure your purchase exceeds your expectation.”
Speaking of his employees, Aaron has three designers, three installers, and two administrative staff, all of whom bend over backward to take care of their customers. His dog, Bailey, is the office greeter. “We get 10 to 12 five-star reviews every month largely focused on the experience, not just our products,” Aaron says. “People here have a career, not just a job.”
One area where Budget Blinds has recently experienced growth is outdoor living solutions. “People want to use their outdoor spaces year-round so are asking for solutions to shut out the wind, rain, and scorching sun,” says Aaron. “We offer several options for achieving that.” The company has also grown within the commercial space including local restaurants, office spaces, and some multi-family buildings. And finally, with the industry now embracing motorization, Aaron and his team are experts at not only designing and installing motorized window coverings, but also at integrating the automation of those window coverings with your entire home system so you can control them from your iPad, smartphone, laptop, or virtual assistant.
In addition to growing his team as business grows, Aaron’s vision is to move into an area of more sophisticated, holistic lighting control systems. “Eventually, I’d like to help customers not only control natural light via their window treatments, but also artificial light, as the two work very much together. We are close but are exploring the right products and partners to do so!”
When Aaron isn’t working, he is likely out volunteering with his Budget Blinds’ team or via the Mill Creek Rotary, as giving back to the community is his way of thanking them for their continued support.
