Apricot Whiskey Smash

8 mint leaves
1.5 oz Buffalo Trace Bourbon
.75 oz fresh lemon juice
.5 oz Giffard Apricot Liqueur
.25 oz Simple Syrup (see recipe below)

Simple Syrup Recipe:

In a saucepan bring 1 cup of water to a simmer and then stir in 1 cup of granulated sugar until fully dissolved. Transfer to a heat-resistant container and chill for 10 minutes.


In a shaker tin muddle the mint leaves, add the bourbon, lemon juice, and syrups, and shake well. Fine strain into a rocks glass with a large ice cube, and garnish with a mint sprig and dried apricot. Enjoy!
