Charley McDaniel is our 5-year old Miniature Long-Haired Dachshund. Charley was my Bat Mitzvah and birthday gift when I was 13! I had always wanted a Dachshund and was so excited to see her on that day. Charley lives and attends “homeschool” with her best friend, Cosmo, a German Shepherd. She also enjoys spending time with her cousin, Midnight, a Miniature Chihuahua; she can relate to her on the “low to the ground” level.

Charley likes to bask in the sun on the balcony, burrow under the covers, swimming, dressing up, soft blankets, and her Mom. She dislikes the Roomba, mulch bags, car rides, cats, the air purifier, and anyone on the outside of the house.

She proudly “won” last place in the Buda Weiner Dog 2024 races. She also loves to hunt bugs outside, leaving us a surprise on the front doormat.

You can find Charley walking with us along the Bull Creek trail behind our house or in the garden in our backyard.
