"The military taught me the true meaning of leadership, discipline, and teamwork, especially in stressful environments."
I have lived in Oakdale for 14 years. I still like what drew us to Oakdale in the first place: the small-town feel and genuine friendliness that makes you feel at home.
I grew up in Angels Camp, CA, which instilled in me the values of community and service. I am a US Navy veteran, where I developed a strong sense of duty and leadership that I have carried with me throughout my life. Following my military service, I became a Stockton Police Officer, dedicating myself to protecting and serving my community. After retiring from law enforcement, I founded a successful technology company I built from the ground up. This journey has given me valuable insights into the importance of fostering the entrepreneurial spirit and the importance of thought and innovation.
My family still has Sunday night dinners so we can all get together and talk about the week or life. My mother and father instilled several values in me, the most important being hard work, faith, and family. I carry these values with me daily, and I succeed because of them.
Watching my daughter, who is entering high school this year, grow and explore her interests has been an incredible experience. I am a total girl dad and am very proud of the young woman she is becoming.
I have enjoyed coaching my daughters' softball teams for OBSA for five years. I recently became a board member of Pacific Project Heroes. I am also running for Oakdale City Council in 2024.
The military taught me the true meaning of leadership, discipline, and teamwork, especially in stressful environments. I learned to lead by example and motivate others toward common goals—essential skills in both community and business settings. The discipline I gained helps me stay focused and execute decisions effectively, even in challenging situations. My already strong work ethic was further strengthened, instilling a "no matter the obstacles" mindset that drives me to pursue excellence in everything I do.
