Michelle, Zoey and Greta

How Zoey and Greta Became Oakdale's Beloved Office Pets

We've lived in this close-knit community for 24 years, and I love how everyone knows just about everyone. Neighbors wave, and when someone needs help, the whole community comes together.
Our two rescue dogs, Zoey and Greta, are a big part of our lives. Zoey, an all-white mutt, is about 4 years old and was rescued from a couple who could no longer keep her. Greta, a 2-year-old brown and white deer Chihuahua, was found abandoned in Escalon. My daughter, who worked at Bubbles and Bows, helped clean her up, and we decided to keep her.
Zoey is incredibly affectionate, always showering everyone with love, while Greta is more independent and a bit vocal. Greta loves hiding things under a chair in the bedroom and always grabs a toy to share when someone visits. Zoey's favorite "toy" is our cat, Marvin.
They come to work with me every day, greeting customers and enjoying the attention. They have a best friend at work, Bella, an older poodle mix, and Zoey goes crazy with excitement when she sees my coworker Marissa. They also love visiting my mom's house in Sonora to play with her dog, Charlie.
