Every graduating class leaves its mark, but this year's Ridgefield seniors stand out in a truly unique way. With approximately 350 students, the Class of 2026 is the largest graduating class in Ridgefield history. This includes seniors from Ridgefield High School, as well as students completing their education through Running Start and Wisdom Ridge Online Academy. Yet beyond its size, this class is defined by the remarkable journey its members have shared.

The Class of 2026 is the first to complete all four years at both Sunset Ridge Intermediate School and View Ridge Middle School, marking a significant milestone in the district's evolution. Entering the system as fifth graders, these students helped shape the culture, traditions, and experiences that continue to influence those who follow.

Their years in Ridgefield have been defined by growth, change, and resilience. As the district expanded and evolved around them, they adapted, persevered, and helped create new traditions along the way. Graduation is an especially meaningful moment for this group, serving as one of their few formal "moving up" celebrations and a well-deserved recognition of everything they have accomplished.

Ridgefield High School Principal Jeremy Tortora reflected on the class's unique legacy:

"Watching this class grow alongside our community has been truly special. They were pioneers, helping establish traditions and culture at Sunset Ridge and View Ridge before becoming leaders at Ridgefield High School. Their perseverance, kindness, and commitment to one another have left a lasting mark on our community, and I couldn't be more proud to celebrate all they have accomplished."

As they prepare for their next chapter, parent-led fundraising efforts supported by the Ridgefield Boosters have brought the community together to ensure this historic class is celebrated in a way that reflects its unique place in Ridgefield's story.
