Hello Ridgefield,

August is one of the Northwest's best months. The days are long, the gardens are thriving, and we can usually count on some beautiful sunshine. Whether you're harvesting vegetables, enjoying colorful flower beds, or spending time on our rivers, lakes, and creeks, there's no shortage of ways to enjoy summer. It's also the season when many families begin preparing for a new school year. Some parents may be more ready than the kids!

This month brings a major transition for our team as well. After years of shaping the stories that connect our community, our incredible Content Editor, Michelle Zabell, is pursuing a new adventure by launching her own magazine. While we are sad to see her go, we couldn't be more proud of her. Michelle has been an important part of this publication's success, and her creativity, dedication, and steady guidance will be greatly missed. We wish her every success in this exciting next chapter.

As we turn the page, we are thrilled to welcome two outstanding additions to our team. Miriam Bradley has joined as my partner, bringing tremendous support for our local business partners and a passion for community-centered storytelling. Many readers already know Miriam through her involvement with local organizations and events.

We are also excited to welcome Amanda McCallum as our new Content Editor. Amanda brings a fresh perspective, strong editorial experience, and a genuine desire to continue growing the magazine in ways that reflect what our readers value most.

Please join us in thanking Michelle for her years of dedication and in giving Miriam and Amanda a warm Ridgefield welcome. Thank you for supporting your community magazine and the local businesses that make it possible.
